I read where many people found this to have issues with leaks. Read the same on Amazon reviews as well. But many others did not report such issue. I took a chance and got this anyway. I have NO issue with leaking. It is working just fine.
I read through the directions carefully, paid attention to how it went together when I opened it up to fill. Perhaps the folks who had it leak did not properly seal the cap after filling. Or did not place it back in the base properly.
I do think a WARM steam humidifier might work better for my nighttime post nasal drip, but this is the only humidifier I could get through Medline OTC.

Leaked the first time I used it.

This humidifier leaked all over the floor the first time I used it. I am just glad that I didn't put it on my nightstand. This website says you can't return the products so I will just have to throw it out. What a waste.

Leaks badly

Wanted a smaller easier humidifier and this was great for that. However, after just a couple minutes I had water all over my nightstand and bedroom carpet. It sprayed water everywhere!

Nice humidifier and pretty quiet. There's a slight hum but you can barely hear it. Good purchase. It sits on a stand between my dogs bed and mine. He loves it, especially the night light.

This one is light weight & easy to handle. It puts out a good amount of mist---not too much at a time. It's not a heavy duty kind but I have used it every night and like it. I use distilled water so it won't get a mineral build up.

THE MIST GOES UP ABOUT A FOOT IN THE AIR, THEN COMES DOWN ON TOP OF THE HUMIDIFIER AND THE SURFACE ALL AROUND IT, WHICH MAKES THE SURROUNDING AREA SOAKING WET, BUT NOT MOISTURIZING THE AIR AT ALL. THE AIR/WATER MIXTURE IS TOO DENSE MAKING NOTHING BUT A SOGGY MESS!!
