However, it was discontinued, and this is supposed to be the replacement. We initially bought them in the recommended size 1, but eventually sized up to 2 because it provided more absorbancy. They are oversized, but it was the best compromise to lessen leaks. Size 1 just did not contain anything.
The only compliment I can give these diapers is they are soft.
Everything else is a let down. The old diapers had strips of adhesive perpendicular to the diaper flaps that you could angle in two directions to create a great seal. The new ones have three strips of adhesive parallel/in line with the diaper flaps, so you cannot create a good seal as they only pull from one direction. This also means the diaper is not secure. I wish I could attach a photo to show this, but essentially the adhesive attaches to pelvic region and not your hip. therefore the legs are not secure.
The flaps are also way too stretchy. This was probably created under the idea that it would be more comfortable, but really it just means the flaps continue to stretch (to the extreme) after you have set it.
Because of the poor seal and super stretchy tabs we have to use transpore tape at the legs to create a better seal on the diaper. Even with sizing up and the extra tape, these diapers still leak 40% or more of the time. I really hope the Medline Ext Wear High-Capacity Disposable Brief come back.
